I’m extremely happy with my Mazda 3. It’s an i Touring Sedan, the transmission is manual. I’ve purchased it new and now am on my second tank of gas. I’ve managed to put about 800 miles on it, averaging about 39.95 miles per gallon, which I find pretty amazing. What’s even more amazing, is that Mazda successfully built a vehicle that is very petrol efficient and is at the same time fun to drive. My previous car was an STi, so I was worried that the Mazda will be lacking in the lower power output, but no – it still pulls extremely well at high revs. I have to give it 5 stars out of 5 for performance – the suspension is very well composed, especially compared to the STi, and turning corners is a breeze, no body roll whatsoever. It may be lacking a bit at the clutch and steering, but compared to the direct competitors the Mazda still wins hands down.
The design may be a three-star one – the dashboard looks dated and the “smiley” fascia are not quite my thing, but for me it wasn’t a deal-breaker. I value driving comfort highest of all and that’s where the Mazda is a killer. The value for money is unbelievable! I would definitely recommend this vehicle to a friend.
